Due to major storms across South Australia, some Optus customers may experience voice or data service difficulties as a result of damage or loss of power to mobile phone base stations and infrastructure.
Optus engineers continue to closely monitor the network to minimise the impact on our customers. Optus is progressively restoring services as power is being restored across the state. We are working closely with the relevant authorities to restore services as a priority. Where possible, we are attempting to deploy back-up generators in response to power outages.
Due to major power failures there is currently no Optus mobile service in Port Lincoln, Port Pirie and the majority of areas across the Eyre Peninsula.
Fixed voice and broadband services have largely been restored across South Australia. Optus NBN services are not affected.
